Pinspiration!!

Just like so many other people...and I am not afraid to admit this...
I AM ADDICTED TO PINTEREST!!!
So recently I decided to start being more creative!! It all started with a Fall/Thanksgiving wreath I made for my front door!

Then while trying to figure out what to get my best friend for her 30th birthday...it hit me...make her a wreath!! So I checked with her sister and looked at her Christmas pictures from last year and came up with this beauty!  It was a HIT!!
*how fab is that red and green zebra print!  made me wanna change my colors to red and green!*

So after two successful wreaths down I decided to embark on one for my front door for Christmas!
I..AM..IN..LOVE!!
I think I have taken my peacock obsession to a whole new level!!

Each  year at church we have an adult Christmas party...we play Dirty Santa Bingo...women choose a woman's gift and men choose a man's gift...When you BINGO you go to the table and choose a gift and open it in front of everybody and when somebody else hits bingo they can choose a gift or they can take one that somebody else has!  This year I made this Santa wreath...it was the most popular gift there!  It changed hands 4 time!! It ended up with one of my best friends!! I already have an order for one from my mom's best friend!!

And wreaths haven't been the only thing I've been making...my best friend asked me if I knew where she could find tutu skirts for her girls to wear to their bday party..I said don't pay what they want for those...I will make them!! It was super easy and took me about an hour total to make both of them!! She loved them and the girls loved them!!

this is a snack I made for the Christmas party that is also inspired from Pinterest!  It was one of the favorite desserts..it is just powdered doughnuts, candy corn (with the white and yellow cut off) and black gel!  Super easy to make and so cute!!

What all have you made as inspiration from Pinterest!!

I put this outfit together a few weeks ago..def one of my favorites!

We def represented our Vols while in Hilton Head

and despite having a crappy season we still pull for our boys in blue...the Colts!!

Disney On Ice

Last Thursday night Jade, Mom and myself went to see Disney on Ice...last year was the first time we took Jade and we sat so far away that we couldn't see well!  This year we were on the 2nd row!  It was awesome and will def be where we sit every year from now on!  Gonna go ahead and warn you..PICTURE OVERLOAD!!

My sweet girl before the show started

 The beautiful set

Is there anything more precious than seeing your child so excited..I get so emotional when I see her light up when seeing all her favorite characters up close!  I'd be a blubbering fool if we ever go to Disney World!

Nemo, Merlin and Dory

Mrs. Potts

 Chip

Beauty and the Beast

M-I-C-K-E-Y  M-O-U-S-E

Timon and Pumba

The first time we saw Daisy..another one of Jade's favorites

Princesses and Princes

Simba and Nala...these costumes were def a little creepy!

A little bit of everybody

and last but not least...Ariel!! Mine and Jade's favorite!!

We were a little disappointed that Tiana (Princess and the Frog) and Rapunzel were not included in the show!  I would have def rather seen them instead of Mulan and Pinochhio!  Those two were the longest segments of the show and you could tell kids didn't love that part!  I hope next year includes both Tiana and Rapunzel!

Halloween 2011

We had quite a bit going on for Halloween this year!  Trunk or Treat at church, Trick or Treating at Zuma Fun Center and of course Halloween itself!  Jade absolutely loved everything Halloween related!  In fact, she is still talking about it!  I thought for sure she'd be on a Christmas kick by now!

This picture was taken on our street right before we went to Target with my mom to get candy for Trunk or Treat.  My uncle bought a house up the street and wanted my mom to come see what he is doing to it and she looked so dang cute I couldn't pass up a photo op!

Mom was in the dressing room at Target and Jade said "Mommy take my picture" and I am so glad I did!!

The next night we had Trunk or Treat...this year Jade went as "Rapunzel" or as she says "Tangled hair"
She got the outfit for her birthday and my mom got the wig at Wal-Mart.

The hair was almost as long as she is and I really didn't want to be pulling leaves and rocks out of it so I braided it and put 3 of her flower clips in it...I loved it!

Of course we can't leave out my costume!!  I had saw a costume similar online a few months ago and decided that was what I was going to be but def wasn't going to pay $60 for it!  So I scoured Goodwill and thrift shops and finally found this dress at a Habitat store that just opened.  This costume was a HIT!!

It was so hard to walk in though...the pillows that my mom stuffed in the back kept shifting but it was totally worth it!! So much fun!!

These are some pics I took of my sweet girl on Halloween day before heading to the gym!

That night I got Jade dressed and we headed to my mom and dad's subdivison.  I have always went there on Halloween night to help mom hand out candy because she normally has close to 200 kids...she may have had 15-20 this year!  We were shocked but while taking Jade around I figured out why..we only got to go to maybe 7 houses!  It made me sad!  I had so much fun growing up and trick or treating there!

Here is Jade with my brother's step daughters Ashlynn and Kyla..they were cute little Monster High girls!

Here is my adorable nephew, Jerek...he would not put on his dinosaur outfit..was more focused on suckers and ring pops!  He has recently started saying "Cheese" when a camera is around and I ADORE this picture!!

Michael didn't get to participate with us during any of our Halloween activites due to his work schedule and we definitely missed him!!
