9 month Birthday "Fun"

So Thursday afternoon Michael was here getting Jade ready to take to his mom's. She was in her crib playing and he turned around to get her some clothes. She had just learned last week to pull up on her crib rail. The rail wasn't up all the way and she fell out. She landed on her stomach and Michael said she didn't cry until he picked her up but even then she didn't cry long. He checked her out and appeared to be fine. My mother in law dropped her off and said she checked her out too..no bruising or anything..she was just very clingy and didn't want to be put down. Thursday night we went to my brother's softball game and she was fine. Friday her and Michael were in the bathroom with me while I was getting ready for work. Michael noticed she wasn't moving her right leg and he lifted it and laid it down..she pitched an unholy fit!! So I got her out of her bouncy and stood her on my lap..she wouldn't put any pressure on her right leg. I knew right then something wasn't good. I called her doctor's office and they said to be there at 10. We went to the appt and the doctor was feeling her legs and when he'd squeeze the top of her right leg she'd grimice. So he sent us downstairs to have x-rays and my worst nightmare had came true..her right femer was broke right above her knee. We went back upstairs and he called Children's hospital and told them we were on our way to have it set and cast. I thought ok this won't take long and we can get home later this afternoon..WRONG! They put her leg in a splint, did a CT Scan and whole body x-rays (22 all together) and admitted her. They put her iv in at 2 so on top of this huge splint she now had an iv in her left hand. I was a wreck!! I cried over everything. Friday night was awful..she slept in the hospital crib for about 2 hours and then on me in the oh so "comfy" rocking chair the rest of the night. I woke up once and it was 3:00, fell back asleep woke up again and it was 3:15..it felt like I had been asleep for hours..fell back asleep..woke up once again and it was 3:20! OMG!! It wore me out! and that's on top of somebody coming in all the time to do vitals or whatever else they do! I woke up at 6:30 with a text from mom asking if we wanted some breakfast. They finally came about 8:30 to take us upstairs to the OR. They had to sedate her so they could set it and cast her. Did I mention the cast isn't your normal leg cast? Oh No! It starts at her waist, completely covers her right leg and goes to the knee on left leg. it's called a Spica Cast it's just like the one in the picture except it doesn't have that bar *Thank Goodness!!* It is without a doubt the most ridiculous thing EVER!! Changing her diaper sucks..this cast already smells like pee and sweat! We got to leave the hospital about 3 on Saturday. We went to Red Lobster at 6 to celebrate my brother's 25th birthday. We got home about 9:30 and by 10 all 3 of us was asleep and we slept for 11 hours!! We got up yesterday morning refreshed and ready for church. So for father's day I had no gifts or cards for any of the fathers in our family!! I will have to do that this week. I stayed out of work with her today because last night she was so restless and I think she was having nightmares. She would wake up crying but her eyes weren't open. Michael went today and had her pain meds filled so I'm hoping tonight she (and I) will rest better! The cast has to be on 3-4 weeks but the doctor said the break was so clean that it should take no time to heal! Just pray for a speedy recovery! I am on my brother's computer *ours is still out of commission* so as soon as I can i will post pictures!
