My aunt called yesterday with a very special prayer request...She works with a girl I graduated with and Wednesday her husband shot himself in the head in front of her and their infant daughter (she's a few months older than Jade) It didn't kill him but they did declare him brain dead yesterday after some tests. When I talked to my aunt the last she had heard was they were getting the papers ready to take him off life support. He also has a son from a previous marriage/relationship who was not there at the time. I asked my aunt why he did this and she said they think he was depressed. I can not imagine what my friend is going through and I pray that God gives her strength during this very difficult time. So please pray for Amy and Shelby and the son.
Update: I just saw her Facebook status and it says:
"Really need your thoughts and prayers. I have lost my best friend.
He meant the world to me and my life will never be the same"

Prayers! This saddens me for her and the family. As someone who has lost a love one this way, it is something may other people will never understand. it's a daily struggle of blame and grief. I am very sorry she is dealing with this.
This is so sad!! : (
I will try to remember this family in my prayers often. I cannot imagine what this family is going through.
