Weekend Fun!

This weekend was Tennessee's Orange and White game.  It was so sunny (but a little) windy earlier in the day but by the time we left for the game....it was super cloudy and cold!  We def did not dress well for the game!  Michael wore shorts and a t-shirt, I wore an orange tunic dress with black leggings adorned with an orange Power T, and Jade wore an orange tunic top with orange and white striped leggings.  Atleast I remembered to bring her a jacket!  The clouds were so thick it wouldn't let any sunshine though and the wind just swirled around inside Neyland Stadium.  We did bring a towel in case the seats were wet and thankfully they weren't!  Jade fell asleep and I used the towel to keep her covered.  A nice lady sititng next to us lent me a fleece blanket she had with her but it was still too cold so we left before the 2nd half started!

Jade was ready for some football!  Check out her super cute TN shoes..they are squeaker shoes she wore at her bday party last year.

Sunday was a complete 180 from Saturday!  It was GORGEOUS and warm!  After church we cooked lunch and watched "The Back-Up Plan" but while checking facebook on my phone I found out the Dogwoods Arts Festival was going on downtown.  We got ready and headed to Market Square!  I forgot my camera but still managed to get 2 super cute pics of my little sweetheart!

We enjoyed an Italian Ice at Rita's...We got Jade her own cup but what does she like...the sample size!  She said it was her size!

Weekend Update

This weekend was exhausting but very nice!
Friday night after work I met my mother in law to pick up Jade. We then headed to the party store to pick up a few things for my brother and future sister in law's wedding shower. When we were done there we headed to Target. There I met up with my best friend, Brooke and her little boy Tanner. We decided after we were done there we were gonna go have dinner together. I bought the shower gift and a few other things and we headed to Cracker Barrel. It was delish as usual. Jade and I were gonna run to Kroger's to get the food items we needed but I decided we'd go Saturday morning.
All 3 of us got up about 7 on Saturday morning to head to Kroger's. I got what I needed and we stopped at Hardee's and got some breakfast. We dropped off the food items at the church and then headed home to eat our breakfast and get ready. Michael dropped me off at the church about 10:45. A lady from church and one of the other bridesmaids showed up shortly and we started decorating. We did a black and hot pink theme since those are 2 of the wedding colors. It was very pretty! We had tons of food and they got a lot of nice gifts!
Saturday night I met my aunt and uncle at the funeral home to show support for my friend, Amy who I talked about in this post and it was without a doubt top 5 of the saddest funerals I've ever been to. She was a wreck (as I would be too in that situation) and he was wearing a hat and had a rebel flag drapped over him which had been signed by various people but the one I saw right off the bat was his 9 year old son's signature. It said "I love you and will miss you daddy. Love, Tre'" I lost it! I couldn't help but think of what all he was going to miss in Tre' and Shelby's lives! I got in the truck where Michael and Jade were waiting and I said a prayer and Thanked God for my little family and everything he has given us and I tried to tell Michael about the flag and I couldn't get the words out. He just squeezed my hand and I finally caught my breath enough to tell him.
We headed to Turkey Creek and ate at Beef O Brady's where I had their ultra fab Garlic Parm boneless wings. We ate and then headed to Best Buy to get some RAM for our computer. I got my new Sims 3 game Tuesday when it came out but knew we needed that RAM before I could play. We ran into Target and picked up a few necessities and then headed home. I was so giddy when we got home and couldn't wait for Michael to get the RAM in the computer. He was booting the computer back up when it said there was a problem with the BOOT file. We had this same problem back in Oct/Nov/Dec and finally my uncle fixed it for us. He gave us the disks that would fix it if the problem ever arose again but Michael put them in and nothing happened so now I'm without a computer and have yet to play my Sims game! I am not a happy camper!!
Yesterday we went to church and afterwards went to El Sazon with some church friends. It was so yummy! Went home and all 3 of us crashed on the bed! Jade and I slept until after 6 and Michael woke up at 7. The whole weekend wore us out! Michael went and picked us up some Krystals and we just relaxed at home with Miss Jade.

Recent Happenings..

I haven't been on here updating in a little bit so I thought today was a good time as any...
Last Friday night after work Jade and I went to dinner with my friends Wendy and Jodi..we had pizza at Mangia at Turkey Creek..I love their pizza! If you live in or around Knoxville, I HIGHLY recommend it! We shopped around Target after we ate and we picked up a few cute things.
Saturday Me, Mom and Jade met my cousin Shannon and my aunt Della at Turkey Creek. We went to Target, ate at Beef O' Brady's and went to Wal-Mart so Shannon could get her nails done. After we left Wal-Mart, we headed to White Lace and Promises for Shannon's dress fitting. She looked stunning in her dress and I can't wait to see Greg's face on their wedding day. She is gonna knock his socks off! We headed to Babies R Us next so they could get shower gifts and of course Jade ended up with some cute stuff! I'll have to take a picture of her new outfit..It is too stinkin' cute! Michael had to work but he met us at BRU; when we finished there we said goodbye and Della and Shannon headed back home to NC. Mom had plans with some friends so Michael, Jade and I stayed in West Knoxville. We went to Target next to West Town (seeing a pattern?) to pick up a few things and then headed home.
Sunday we had church and afterwards we went to eat with my parents and some friends at Chili's. It was so good! It was a beautiful day so we went home and put on our swimsuits and headed to our friend's house to go swimming. We swam for about an hour and then Jade and I headed to mom's to see Lori in her wedding dress. Lori is my brother's fiancee'. Mom is hemming her dress and doing her bustle. Her dress is beautiful! After church Sunday Night we went home and relaxed.
Monday I was off from work and we hung out around the house until about 12:30 and we headed to Cracker Barrel for lunch. I took Michael to work and Jade and I ran to my mom's work. We hadn't been there in a while and of course everybody always makes a fuss over Jade and she LOVES the attention! LOL
I have all kinds of new pictures of Jade and will post them very soon. I have been working on stuff for my brother and Lori's shower that is this weekend so I haven't had time for much else.
Oh I almost for the biggest news...JADE IS NOW SLEEPING IN HER BED!!! YAY!! She fell asleep Friday night and I thought "Ok I'm gonna try this again" I put her in there and normally when I do she wakes up as soon as her head hits the mattress..NOT THIS TIME! She was OUT!! She slept there from 11 until 3 AM! Saturday night she was with us again..Sunday night it was 10-2; Monday night 11-6:30; Tuesday night 9-2 and last night..ALL NIGHT!! 11-7:45! I only had to get up twice and by the time I got to her she was back asleep! I am so proud of her!
